Those who have used a Henry before will be delighted to know that his big cousin George isn’t just a vacuum cleaner… he’s a soft furnishings whizz, to boot. It still doesn’t have the carpet agitation you’ll find on carpet cleaners from Vax and Bissell, but in our tests the George proved itself to be something of a wet-cleaning hero. George is more powerful than the rest of the Henry family because he needs the extra power when being used in wet cleaning mode, to allow him to clean effectively.

In terms of appearance, Numatic George is similar to the rest of the Henry family with his smiling face and bright eyes. One of the switches activates the vacuum, which stays on all the time, while the other powers the clean water pump, which has a secondary control on the hose so it’s only spraying water when you need it. Like all Numatic vacuums George is quite bulky, which does mean he isn’t the easiest hoover to move around.
